Cam was being so cheezy and wouldn't cooperate with me to get a first day of school picture. So this is as good as it gets. Cam started preschool a couple weeks ago. He likes it right now, but is still getting used to his class and his new teacher. This year they are starting to draw pictures and then color them, rather than color printed pictures-it is so much fun seeing his imagination take off and I love to see what he draws!!!Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Preschool days
Cam was being so cheezy and wouldn't cooperate with me to get a first day of school picture. So this is as good as it gets. Cam started preschool a couple weeks ago. He likes it right now, but is still getting used to his class and his new teacher. This year they are starting to draw pictures and then color them, rather than color printed pictures-it is so much fun seeing his imagination take off and I love to see what he draws!!!Hat Time !!!

After visiting in La Grande and Pendleton for a while, we drove to Afton, WY. for my nephew's baptizm. It is always so nice there, the weather is always cool and the kids have so much fun playing together. Owen found my brother's hat and we put the play cowboy hat on Leif. As you can tell, it is too big and it started to fall off. We finally got a good one though!!! Owen loves to wear hats but then he wants a million pictures taken of him and then he wants to see each one individually after it has been taken.
Scrambled or fried ????
The carnival company that usually does the fair doesn't have some of the rides that were my favorite as a child. This year, the company was different and they had some of the fav's back!!! By the end of the night I had chickened out and so my sister went on the Scrambler (it had a different name this year) with her two oldest girls. So this is Sarah, Mori and Lilly just about to take off. It was the funniest thing so I couldn't get any pictures. I was trying not to wet my pants!!! It whips you around so fast that my sister and Mori were getting squished and my sister couldn't even open her eyes...classic!!! Needless to say, they weren't smiling so big afterwards!!!
While in La Grande, we went to the Union County Fair. It's a big thing there. They have some fun rides and such for the kids. We have made it an anual thing the last three years. This year it was a lot smaller than usual but the kids still had a blast. Owen rode these cars over and over and over again. I was getting sick just watching him.
There was a circus circus maze thing for kids to go through and both of my boys loved this. Once again, it was awesome to have an 11 year old girl there to help!!! Thanks mor-mor!!!
My boys have always wanted to get their faces painted and there was a lady there that did some pretty cool images. They were $3 each and my sister gets her girls' faces painted at the school carnival each year for 50 cents. It was totally worth it though. Owen got a ninja turtle, Cam got a dragon and Nora got butterflies!!! It was cute!!!
We always head into the barns to see the animals and I think my boys have more fun doing that than they do riding the rides. For the last two years, the pigme goats have been their favorite!! In the picture, it kinda looks like Owen has ahold of the little goats ear, but I don't think he actually does. You never know though with owen!!! Oregon..here we come!!
After we were in Spokane, we said good-bye to Parker and the kids and I drove to Pendleton, OR. where my sister lives and to my home town of La Grande(about a 3- 4 hour drive). We visited there for a few days and did some pretty fun stuff. One night we went up my parents property and had yummy burgers and just played around and visited. Cam and Nora (my sister's daughter) just play famously together.
Owen was being such a spaz!!! We love Owen, he always is making us laugh. He was putting his shirt over his head and dancing around. Cam and Nora thought he was the funniest thing!!!Slacker!!!
Nichole, Shar, Aria and Brenda(we missed Lindsey and Hillary a ton)on the field after the shock game!!!K-I know I am really late getting these posted. I have had so much going on and my camera was M.I.A. for a while and then it needed to be charged and then I forgot about it for so long. It's sad. Everyone else that was there has posted these pictures so long ago. So for the Isaacson family here are the pictures from all of our travels.
I thought this picture was hilarious. This is probably the best picture of Leif that I will ever get and all the other kids are off in their own la-la land somewhere!!! Still cute thoughMonday, August 11, 2008
Summer Summer Time
It has been so long since my last post that I thought I would get on and at least explain a little. I have been traveling a bunch. We drove to Spokane to hang with my 2 brother-in-laws, 2 sister-in-laws, our favorite cousins from Arizona, my mother and father-in-law and all my nieces and nephews, plus my favorite aunt and uncle from Bountiful. I then took the boys and headed to Oregon (since it is only 4 hours away from Spokane) and visited my parents, my brother and my brother-in-law and sister and her girls and new baby boy. We then all drove from Oregon to Wyoming to see family there and to see my nephew get baptized!!! Then I drove home-but while in Wyoming, I left my camera. My mom has it and she has neglected to send it to me as of yet!!!! (hint, hint)!!! Anyway so I have no clue when I will be able to post any pictures since I don't have my camera. So be looking, cause soon there will be some major blogging going on!!!!
